Justice for the Elderly in care homes??
There is one injustice in society that never seems to get the air time it should. Think about it this way - you work hard all your life, you pay your taxes, you don`t cheat the system, you save hard for a pension and you always try to do the right thing. Oh, and you have to pay for your NHS prescriptions and for your Dental treatment.
On the other hand some lowlife claims they have a dodgy back to claim incapacity benefit. They neck Super Lager and Buckfast everyday, and in the more serious cases take hardcore drugs like heroin for example. The state pays their Rent and Council on top of the benefits they receive - and lets not forget the child tax credit they claim for their kids. Oh, and guess what? They don`t pay for their NHS prescriptions or Dental bills.
Then it comes to retirement age. You have to try and get by the best you can on your pension and struggle to pay your bills, or to even afford your Dental bills that you must pay because you saved hard for this pension. It will be more than likely you have to pay your full rent and council tax as well.
On the other hand the lowlife I discussed above will have a state pension, get a rebate towards their rent and council tax, they won`t have to pay these inconvenient dental bills and by the time they have reached this age they have had kids, and their kids have had kids - two generations of inbred people that multiply that parasites.
Then you get to the stage you can`t look after yourself anymore, and need constant supervision. The only option for your family is to put you in a care home. Here`s the bit that always gets to me:
You have to pay for it at a cost of around £500 a week.
Just like that. All your savings. Your pension. Your house - gone. Never mind that you have fought in wars for your country and worked hard all your life...
Yet what about the lowlife that spent their entire life leeching of others? They don`t have to pay a thing. Well there`s a surprise eh?
You know this article was meant to be about the injustice of elderly having to pay for their keep in these homes. But as I was writing this I realised that it wasn`t just the elderly that are being cheated, we all are.
What a bunch of idiots we are. You know what screw this - I`m away to get a bottle of Buckie and needle!
